Last year, incredibly, Lancashire Constabulary continued to improve its already impressive performance. I say incredibly because this was achieved at a time of great uncertainty, a time when the financial situation was leading to some tough and unpopular decisions. And things still got better…
It is a fact that overall crime in Lancashire is now almost 28% lower than six years ago. That means your chance of becoming a victim of crime, which was always reasonably low, is even lower.
While we must be realistic, the changes could have an adverse effect on performance, I know how much is being done to protect that performance, to keep it at the highest possible levels and keep our communities safe.
